Describe the exact result if they buy your products or apply your ideas.

4. Proof

Now that you’re done with the three P’s, people must be interested in your offer already. But it’s not the end of the process. People might wonder whether or not your offer is real. It is likely that they ask some proof. That’s why you need to provide some. Providing proof reinforces the strength of your persuasion techniques. People want to see that other people (preferably known people/company) are also using your products or offer. The more proof you can provide, the more you could persuade them.

5. “Unique Selling Proposition”

Now that your prospects have all the information they need, sometimes, they seek assurance that you really deliver your promise. Instead of deciding whether to buy your offer, they start asking the unique advantage of your offer over your competitors. At this point, you need to make another promise that is related to the previous one. The most common strategies in this respect are the money back guarantee, 24/7 customer support, and easy payment system.

To sum up, persuasion techniques work especially when you are honest about what you say. After all, persuasion is not about exploiting others’ weakness (although people use it sometimes). If you use persuasion in an undesirable way, your success will not last long. The easiest way to apply the tactics effectively is by giving value and solving others’ problem.
