Sowing And Reaping: The Secret Of Losing And Winning

The magnificent law of sowing and reaping.

Sowing And Reaping

I am amazed at the number of people who are dreaming of being successful. For instance, if you are going to ask athletes why they work hard, they will give you a single response – that is to win the competition.

At school, if you ask students the same question, they will tell you their purpose – that is to finish their studies and find a job later.

But when we look at reality, most of these people end up losing their goals. Only a few really get there. So what’s the missing piece? Why the few succeeded and the vast majority did not?

The world offers us equal opportunity. Of course, you can argue that somebody was born with millions. But on the other side, we know people who once had nothing but become really successful.

The difference between losers and winners is not the resources. What really makes a champion is a thinking pattern.

Most people have no idea that their thoughts create their reality. The law of sowing and reaping states that “you become what you think about.”

Imagine that your mind is a garden, a soil wherein you can plant apple, orange, and mango seeds for instance. Whatever you plant in it will sprout and grow. What you sow is what you reap.

In other words, what you think will become your reality. Thus, if you fill your mind with negativity, negative events will show up. If you cultivate happiness and positivity in your mind, abundance will be the result.

This is the most difficult concept to swallow. But the quantum physics is starting to understand this amazing law of the universe.

Scientists have found that our mind is what shapes our reality. For instance, if you constantly complain about your bad life circumstance, the same undesirable things will manifest. Why? Because that’s what you plant in your mind.

On the other hand, if you focus on good things, you’ll become happier and will experience abundance.

Why the poor become poorer and the rich become richer? It’s no accident. The difference stems from the thinking pattern. When you observe how these two types of people think, you’ll notice the significant difference.

The poor would always complain about the hardship of life. While the rich would always talk about prosperity. In both cases, the mind manifests what’s in it. You always reap what you plant without exception.

The law of sowing and reaping needs a conscious monitoring of our thoughts. If you want to achieve anything in your life, you have to visualize it in your mind very clearly.

How does the mind manifest everything that you put in it? This is the most common question and the valid one.

Law of sowing and reaping will not give you the step by step process. At first, it is completely unknown. You don’t know how. But don’t worry, the law of the universe will show you the way.

It is not your job to know the “how”. Instead, your job is to plant the seed. Just like planting a tree. You can’t control the wind, the rain, and the drought.

The sun will rise every day to give energy to the tree. And the rain will water the tree without your intervention.

Thus, don’t worry about the “how”. Your primary job is to guard your thoughts. Maintain your thinking pattern that aligns with your dreams.

Ten years ago, I was hopeless. I was devastated about what happened in my life. My parents thought I couldn’t finish college.

But in my mind, there was hope. I knew I could finish my study. But given the resources that I had, it was impossible.

But I never lost my hope. My mind was full of positive images about my future. I said to myself that bad things are not permanent. Hope was the only thing that I kept.

There was no clue whatsoever that I could succeed in my life. I had no idea how. The law of sowing and reaping was totally unknown to me at that time. But it was working for me. Ten years later, I achieved most of my dreams.

The power of sowing and reaping is also evident among great people in the past. Albert Einstein had realized that imagination is a vital component of success. For him, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.”

Another genius, Nikola Tesla, one of the greatest inventors in history also employed the power of sowing and reaping. “This I did constantly until I was about seventeen when my thoughts turned seriously to invention. Then I observed to my delight that I could visualize with the greatest facility. I needed no models, drawings or experiments. I could picture them all as real in my mind.”

Imagination puts you in the process of becoming. Your imagination will become reality. So you should have a clear visualization of your dreams. Don’t worry about the “how” because the universe will show you the way.
