People do whatever it takes to stay young and attractive. In fact, for some, beauty products become one of the important necessities of their daily life.
But the truth is you don’t have to spend more money to stay young and attractive. Yes, you read it right. Fruits and vegetables have it.
A recent study led by Dr. Ian Stephen and his colleagues found that healthy diet is a key to attractiveness.
A regular consumption of fruits and vegetables make people more attractive. This type of diet turns skin color into golden. A color that most people find attractive.
How fruits and vegetables preserve and boost beauty?
Fruits and vegetables are rich in carotenoids, an antioxidant substance that helps sweep toxic chemicals in the body.
Carotenoid is also responsible for making beautiful skin texture and color of tomatoes and carrots.
Dr. Ian Stephen concluded that:
“Most people think the best way to improve skin color is to get a suntan, but our research shows that eating lots of fruits and vegetables is actually more effective.”
The researchers also found that people preferred carotenoid-induced skin color over a suntan-induced skin color.
Dr. Stephen added:
“We found that, given the choice between skin color caused by suntan and skin color caused by carotenoids, people preferred the carotenoid skin color, so if you want a healthier and more attractive skin color, you are better off eating a healthy diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables than lying in the sun.”
Eating fruits and vegetables regularly does not only help people stay attractive but also help the body remains healthy.
